Sheikh Mohamed Muhyi Al-Din bin Sheikh Omar Al-Yafi
(Born 1803 AD – 1218 AH and died in 1886 AD – 1304 AH)
Sheikh Muhamed Muhyiddin was born in Damascus in 1803 CE and received his religious education from his father, Sheikh Omar al-Yafi, and other contemporary scholars of Damascus.
Sheikh Muhamed Muhyiddin moved to Beirut in 1843 CE, where he was appointed judge and mufti of Beirut in 1850 CE (1266 AH). He also served as a teacher and imam at the Great Omari Mosque in Beirut.
The Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II appointed him a member of the Beirut Provincial Council when he approved the administrative divisions of the Ottoman provinces in 1876 CE.
Sheikh Muhamed Muhyiddin al-Yafi died in Beirut in 1886 CE and was buried there.

He was a scholar and an intellectual. He came to Beirut in 1843 AD and settled there. He took the fatwa missionary in Beirut for several years.
He died in Beirut in the year 1304 AH
