Sheikh Saad Al-Din Effendi bin Muhyi Al-Din Al-Yafi:
(1240 – 1312 AH) —- (1824 – 1894 AD)
He was born in Damascus in the year 1240 AH / 1824 AD. He studied with the scholars of his time, and approached the high class of them.
He has a position in the legal judiciary in most of the districts of Syria, while his valuable and extensive knowledge were a great influence.
Among his most important works are:
1- Enlightening the minds in rulings and etiquette.
2- Al-Riyadh Al-Maskiya.
3- Reference to the presidency in the provisions of politics.
4- Conquests of guidance for one who wants to rule among the servants.
5- Results of judgments for judges and referees.
6- Relief of the afflicted by simulating the well-known.
7- Very precise in drawing the line.
8- The shining kindergarten in the pure dynasty.
9- Earning wages to bring pleasure.
Sheikh Saad al-Din died in the year (1312 AH / 1894 AD) and was buried in the Dahdah cemetery in Damascus. He is the father of the well-known Farid Pasha Al-Yafi, a former director of the Damascus Endowments
