Captain Mohamed Nihad bin Mohamed Fuad Al-Yafi
Mohamed Nihad was born in Damascus
in 1925
After graduating from the Police College, Mr. Mohamed Nihad served in various immigration and passport departments in Damascus, southern Syria, and Tartus. He was exiled after the March 8, 1963 coup to the Bab al-Hawa border crossing on the Syrian-Turkish border because he was considered an opponent of the Ba’ath Party’s rule.

In 1973, after Hafez al-Assad’s coup, Mohamed Nihad al-Yafi resigned from his job at the Ministry of Interior and moved to private work in the field of contracting and real estate in the city of Damascus.
Mr. Mohamed Nihad and his wife, Mrs. Fatma Qutb, had four children: Mrs. Suzanne, and Messrs. Mu’taz, Nasser, and Ammar.
He passed away in Damascus in 2019.
