Sheikh Abdul Badea bin Tawfiq bin Abdul Badea Al Yafi
(1342 – 1403 AH) – (1923 – 1983 AD)
Sheikh Abdul Badea was born in the city of Jeddah and studied in its Falah Schools there, then he continue his studies after that in Damascus, gaining experience in the field of commerce. He also studied in Damascus the Hanafi school of thought at the hands of the sheikhs and scholars of the Umayyad Great Mosque. In addition, the Sheikh learned the French language in Syria, and was one of the first French-speaking Saudis.
Sheikh Abdul Badi returned to Jeddah to work with his father in the textile trade in the family shop in Qabel Street, where he inherited the shop after that from his father.
He died, may God have mercy on him, in 1403 AH while performing Hajj.
